Ow Ow! Lookin' Good!

Hello again my fellow fashionholics,

I hope my advice from last week helped you out for your first day of classes and you rocked  whatever style you chose. This week, I thought I would give some advice on what to wear on date nights. I know the first date can be very overwhelming and nerve-racking, so I don't want you to worry your pretty little mind on what to wear, makeup, or your hair.

Before we begin, lets just take a moment to jump up and down on our beds like we are 10 years old again and be excited for our first date with a totally handsome guy. Ready, set, go... Phew, that was my workout for the day. Alright, back to business.

So, some general first dates are usually to a causal dinner or a nice relaxing movie. Before you freak out and think, "Holy S***, I don't have anything to wear for any of those dates," think again. Most likely, you will already have some of these outfits in your closet and you don't even know it. So, now that we are not freaking out, I have a couple of different options for you guys to replicate and knock your dates off their feet.

Option numero uno: Casual Dinner Date

Ow ow! This outfit is classy, comfy, and totally affordable if you don't have this in your closet. Now, don't think that you have to wear everything in this photo (please don't go naked), but if you don't want to wear the blazer or accessories, that is totally up to you. Make this outfit you. Even if you don't have what is in this picture, all you need is a casual dress, a blazer, some flats, a ring, and possibly a long necklace if you really want to go all out. Whatever you decide, it is good to stick with warm/neutral colors.

Makeup: A nice classic smokey eye look with some bright red lips will be a great way to finish off the look for your casual dinner. If you don't know how to get the smokey eye look, then watch the video below for the details.

Hair: A messy top knot bun will give you a smart, sophisticated look for this causal/dressy look.

Option number two: Movie Date

A movie date is usually relaxing and easy going. Your outfit should be the same way. Dark skinny jeans, a white tulip style shirt, a peach color blazer, and some nude pumps or flats (whatever you will be most comfortable in). This outfit is sexy, yet modest and will show off those beautiful curves of yours. Wearing the jeans and blazer will also keep you warm in the cold movie theater, *cough *cough (send messages that you're cold, so he will put his arm around you).

Makeup: this look should be flirty. A cat eyed look with some nude lipstick will really polish off the outfit.

Hair: Some nice loose curls.

Alright kids, that's all I got for this week. Stay tuned in for next week's advice. Remember to always have your confidence in your back pocket. You are beautiful and don't you ever forget it.

Kisses,
Sam

Who the Heck is Sam Byrd?

Hi everyone...My name is Sam,

"Hi Sam," is how everyone in an AA meeting would respond, but here in this blog I am not going to talk about my drinking habits. No, no, no, this blog is a safe zone for all those fashionholics out there looking for tips and guides on fashion! O.M.G. So exciting, right? Well, before we get started and  confessing about our fashion habits, I want you all out there to get to know me a little first. My name is Samantha Byrd; however, I go by Sam. I am 21 years young, college student at Saint Leo University, and I am a Communication Major. I am from Sarasota, Florida and I love going to the beach, traveling, and hanging out with my family. While school is my main priority, looking good is the second most important thing to me ;). So, since fashion to a girl is like white on rice, I am here to help with any fashion crisis you might have. If you don't know what to wear on a first date, a dance, the first day of school, etc. Then, that is what I am here for.

Anyway, a new semester is right around the corner and for most, it has already started, so I am going to leave you with a few tips tonight. For the first day of school you should try to keep it simple. A nice pair of dark jeans, a long sleeve white/blue strip shirt, a bright orange bulky necklace, orange earrings, and a pair of orange color ballerina flats will be nice and comfortable for you on the first day (see picture below for details).

Also, putting your hair up in a sock bun to keep out of your eyes will be classy enough for well, class. If you don't know how to get the sock bun look, then check out the tutorial below for some help.

One last touch, make sure your makeup is modest because lets be real, you're not going to a club and if you really want to go wild, then put color lipstick on. Below, LC leaves us with some pointers. She also tells us which brand and how much the makeup is.

No backpack is needed, just a nice tote bag will do to fit your books for the day. If you don't know what a tote bag is, then look below for an example.

Go rock your first day of classes and make sure to have your confidence in your back pocket. You're beautiful, never forget that.

Kisses,
Sam
